things that get asked to me too much (and the answers!!)

• Are you chinese? (haha no)
• So.. are you japanese? (yeah no)
• Then are you from like.. Vietnam? (nope)

at this point i just say im korean and then the inevitable question of

• oh are you from north or south korea? (i know this is so surprising i’m from souTH korea who would have thunk)
• can you say ____ in korean for me? (i probably wont)
• translate gangnam style for me hahahaha (no)
• bonus question i get asked: how do you put your contacts in since your eyes are so small?? (like every other person puts in their contacts thank you for yr concern)
• another bonus thing people say to me: why do you say tae kwon do like that you’re saying it wrong? (bc that’s how it’s pronounced in korean god bless)

i mean i get why you would ask these questions and i would gladly explain the difference between north and south korea but please
